By far our biggest need since moving to Guatemala has been finances.  While we live in a very poor country, the prices of  things here are as expensive as in the United States.   Unfortunately as missionaries we do not earn a salary  and must rely on financial support from individuals like you.  While  we have had great difficulty maintaining our support over the time we have been here, we are none-the-less grateful for the opportunity to be here and see the work  God is doing in the people of Guatemala.  Raising support in order to live is humbling and nothing short of miserable.  Unfortunately it is necessary for us to continue the work God has called us to do in Guatemala.  We realize that many organizations may solicit you for donations etc. and we know that there are many ways that you could spend your money.   We however ask that your prayerfully consider supporting us in this ministry.   If you have questions about this ministry or how you can help please feel free to email us.   We would love to hear from you. DAILY PRAYER

We need, for a family of five, approximately $4000 a month in support.  This amount covers expenses both in the U.S. and in Guatemala.  When we run short in monthly support it difficult to build up funding for necessities such as furlough travel,  government deductions and insurance needs. Because of the continued deficit in our account balance, the mission has not been able to transfer to us the full amount of the budgeted support each month. This has created a situation where it is extremely difficult to maintain the ministry that we sense God has opened to us.  If there are any questions about our finances please do not hesitate to call the mission home office and speak to the finance department.

 

CAN YOU PLEASE HELP??? 

 We have discovered that some are under the impression that Matt and I earn a salary or income from Global Outreach  and Global Development .  Let me correct that by saying NO.  However lovely that may sound—it just isn’t the case.  We need financial support.  We earn no money other than what God places on your heart to give.  We need approximately $4000/mo to live.  This covers insurance, taxes, food, housing...etc.  Last  year we (or family of 5) received a total of $18,000 for the year.    Although we  survived on that amount,  we have exhausted our savings account, have no money to put away for college funds,  retirement… etc. etc.   If you or someone you know would be interested in this ministry or supporting us —Please  direct them to this website.
