Each Sunday the missionary community comes together for church. We recently used the money that had been collected from weekly offering to build two houses. One of the houses was for a older couple who lives with their children. They live approximately a 25 minutes drive up a dirt mountain road at 9000 ft. elevation and then another 20 minute hike from the road. The woman is 57 years old and suffers from severe Parkinson's disease. Her husband cares for her 24 hours a day and carries her on his back. The couple had been sleeping on boards in a shed no larger than 4x6. A local church notified us of the couples need. Members from that church body carried wet lumber up the mountain to the work site, in order for us to build them a home. As a missionary community we spent two Sundays building the homes.
